- Sunday: festival or foliage. Go back for a short second visit if you missed something, or spend the morning by the water and the afternoon on a slow drive around the peninsula.
Things to do in Boothbay Harbor beyond the festival
The festival should be part of the weekend, not the whole thing. Walk the harbor and the footbridge slowly. Look back at downtown from the far side and notice the color showing above the rooftops. Watch the boats. October light on the water is lower and warmer than July light.
